Hi! My name is Tobias
My professional career began in 2011 with a lengthy formal apprenticeship under former BME writer Sean Philips. From there, I worked at a studio located outside of Washington, DC for a number of years that would eventually become a boutique piercing studio in Vienna, Virginia.
My time was spent helping to increase safe piercing options and quality jewelry availability in the DC metro area. During that time, I became the first member of the Association of Professional piercers in the area.
After some time, I decided to search for a change of scenery, and traveled across the country in search for what was in my eyes the best body piercing studio for me and my clients in order to continue growing my passion for safe and (lets be honest!) great-looking body piercing.
During that time, I had the pleasure of working at or within the following studios throughout the United States: Six16 Piercing, Pittsburgh PA; NoKaOi Tiki Tattoo, Philadelphia PA; Sacred Tattoo, New York City; Venus by Maria Tash, New York City; Abyss Body Piercing, Salt Lake City Utah; Laughing Buddha Tattoo & Piercing, Seattle WA; Iris Piercing Studios, Salt Lake City Utah, CowPok Piercing Gallery, Buffalo NY; Fidelity Tattoo Co, Baltimore MD; New York Adorned, New York City, and others.
In 2017, I decided to move to New York City, and while there had the pleasure of providing piercing services, educational training, and oversight to a multitude of luxury jewelry brands.
In my time piercing, I have and continue to amass regular continuing education in body piercing techniques, sterile technique and procedure, and client safety among many different areas of body modification. My goal with you - a client or a potential client - is to offer an accessibly priced, safe body piercing service in a friendly and welcome environment that is accepting of all peoples, regardless of sex, gender identity, ethnicity, ability or sexual preference.
During early 2020, I made the move back to the Northern Virginia area to work full time, and to escape the fast-paced city life. (Can you blame me? I missed trees!)
In my free time, I am also a professional skydiver, Rubik’s Speed Cuber, can usually be found playing with my adorable puppy, hiking or exploring, binging the the newest Sci-Fi I can stream, searching for a new pizza spot, or relaxing with my partner.
This website exists as both my online portfolio and a platform for people who I have pierced or who may find my website in their research to ask questions about current, past or future piercings.
I additionally have a Youtube channel with a few assorted videos of my piercing procedures, which give a great look into what an experience in my piercing room can be like. I encourage everyone who doesn’t mind watching a procedure to check them out!
